HOW MANY GUESTS CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE?

My starting package (which is the minimum cost to book your date with me on a Friday or Saturday) includes the Bride + up to 4 guests.

I can accommodate a 5th guest if timing allows. I typically allot for 1.5 - 2 hours for the Bride’s hair and 1 hour per guest.

For parties larger than Bride + 5 I can book an assistant to prep hair for me to finish the styles. With an assistant I can accommodate the Bride + 8 guests max.

I am also happy to coordinate with and work with any 2nd hair stylist you choose!

I do not have a separate rate for BRIDE ONLY. If you have less than 4 additional guests, the price does not change but you will still receive ~6 hours of service from me.

Please note I am not a specialist with very short hair styles. If you or any of your guests have hair shorter than 3 inches, I may not be the appropriate stylist for you/them.

Wedding Day Service Times

Please note that a group ‘Getting Ready’ photo, First Looks (Bridesmaids, Father, Groom), Travel to your ceremony site & Photos before the ceremony will ALL contribute to an earlier start time for Hair & Makeup.

DO YOU TRAVEL TO MY AREA?

My travel radius is 50 miles/ approximately 1 hour from my home (just Northwest of Traverse City) from May - October. Travel within Traverse City & Suttons Bay is complimentary. Travel beyond Traverse City is listed below.

I do accept a small number of weddings in Charlevoix & Petoskey each year and the travel considerations for those locations are detailed below.

CAN WE USE MY VENUE’S BRIDAL SUITE?

  • Please be aware that most venues have a specific time that you’re allowed to enter. I need to know that time as soon as possible to be able to determine the possibility of using your suite for your hair services from start to finish.

  • I will be able to determine timing more accurately during your preview but I typically estimate 1 1/2 to 2 hours for the bride and 1 hour per guest. If that timing adds up (make sure to add a 30 minute buffer at the end to account for any touch-ups/adjustments/delays) to create a start time that is earlier than the time you’re allowed to enter the suite… we need to make other arrangements!

    DO YOU RENT HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    I have 18” clip in hair extensions available for rent in a limited variety of shades. They are available for you to try out at your preview for no charge and $75 on your wedding day. The are available for the bride only.

    How should my Mom or the Mother of my Fiance style her hair?

I would highly recommend discussing this with them BEFORE counting them in for services! Although I will be so happy to style their hair, hair lengths less than 3” (pixie cut lengths, roller/curling iron set styles) are not a specialty of mine.If your Mom or your fiance’s Mom ( this can include Grandma as well) have a style that they are particular about… they may not be the most comfortable having me wing it on wedding day! If this describes one of the Moms in your group… let’s chat before booking them for hair!

Can my Mom, MOG, Guest or Sister have a trial run for their hair?

Unfortunately No. Previews (trial runs) are only available for the Bride(s)

Can I bring a guest to my Preview?

I prefer that you don’t. I understand the desire to have someone special accompany you but I find it to be a distraction that takes away from our very important 1:1 time together. If someone accompanies you on the drive to my studio, I’d be happy to recommend a nearby cafe or coffee shop and then they would be very welcome to join us towards the end of our appointment if you’d like them to see your style!

Please note - I do have a very well behaved dog, Briscoe, who lives with me so if you have allergies or an aversion to dogs, please let me know and we can make other arrangements.

WHY DO YOU REQUIRE LODGING FOR THE PETOSKEY AREA?

Petoskey is 80 miles from my home. Most wedding days have a start time of 6 - 7 AM which is a 3 - 4 AM alarm clock for me and a long drive in the dark. I’ve driven through heavy rain, heavy fog and have had to dodge a few too many woodland creatures in the wee hours and I’m not willing to risk a crash, a flat tire or a breakdown with no one else awake and no emergency cabs or ubers to take me the rest of the way to make it to you on time. It’s very important to me to show up for my brides on time and at my full potential and this is the system I’ve designed for myself to be able to offer my services in this area.

CAN YOU BREAKDOWN YOUR PACKAGE FOR PER PERSON PRICING?

Great question - and the answer is that I actually do not break down my pricing into per person services. I have created a booking rate that considers an extended period of correspondence and consulting with my brides in advance of the wedding day, administrative work, continuing education, coordination, planning guides, etc in addition to Day Of hairstyling services and a few years ago decided to eliminate a ‘per person’ pricing structure because of those factors.

  • PAYMENT

    • I accept payment by cash, check or credit card (cash or check will have no processing fee)

    • I do not accept Venmo for services.

    • I require a 50% non-refundable retainer to book your wedding date upon signing the contract (This retainer will be applied to the Day Of services and not the preview).

    • An invoice of your Day Of balance will be sent approx. 30 days before your date.

    • Payment will be due 14 days before your wedding.

    • Gratuity can be added at the time of invoice if you wish. Gratuity Day Of can be in the form of cash or check.

    • Late Invoice payments will be charged an 18% late fee.

      I have done calculations to incorporate my time, product cost, continuing education, etc into creating my service pricing. These prices are non-negotiable. Please take the time to read through these terms.

    CANCELLATION POLICY

    Non-refundable Retainer

    A non-refundable retainer of 50% of the contracted amount is required upon submission of our signed contract no matter how far away or close to the actual date we are booking.

    - The retainer will be applied to the day of balance.

    - I book on a first come basis, sometimes over a year in advance and I turn down other brides for the same date if I already have a signed contract. I may also incur additional costs in attempting to rebook, if at all possible. By signing this contract we are committing to working together on your wedding day.

    - Your retainer is non-refundable as it includes the costs of time spent planning, corresponding & coordinating which are included services when booking with me.

    CRC Bridal Hair Co. reserves the right to charge for contracted/expected services if there is a cancellation within six months of scheduled services. Other brides are turned down to save the dates for the those who book first and I may not be able to have the opportunity to rebook without ample advanced notice.

What if I’m not able to schedule a preview?

If you’re unable to schedule a preview we can arrange a video chat so I’ll be able to see your hair, go over all important details and get a plan together in lieu of that in-person appointment. I will deduct the cost from your total from your estimated total at the time of your contract signing, or when I send your final invoice as needed.

I or one of my guests has very curly/ethic or Afro hair. Can you accommodate styling for me/them?

Although I’m not a specialist with these types of hair, I do have experience and would be happy to discuss hair type specifics and options ahead of booking.

I plan on having a Flower Girl and Junior Bridesmaid in my party. How much are these services?

I do not offer Flower Girl services, so sorry about that! Junior Bridesmaids count as 1 of your regular guests.
